ADVICE ON PADEL COURT CONSTRUCTION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND EUROPE

WHAT IS PADEL ?

Padel is an active and fun sport and can be played at a young age with family, friends or colleagues. It is a racket sport halfway between tennis and squash and is played indoors or outdoors, depending on the construction of the padel courts.

Padel is done as a double play on a field of 10m wide and 20 m long with a net and softer tennis balls. The surface consists of artificial grass with sand. The ball can be played just like in sqaush against the glass walls and the fence for longer exchanges.

The padel racket has no strings, and is made of plastic (carbon, fiber or graphite). In the racket sheet, a large number of holes are drilled and it’s often heavier than a tennis racket.

THE PADEL COURT

Classic or panoramic padel courts
The playing field is 10 x 20 m and fenced by mesh and glass walls to be able to follow the game well. In the middle of the padel court there is a tennis court.

THE PADEL RACKET

It is a smaller racket than a tennis racket, without a rope. It is generally round and made of materials such as carbon fiber, titanium or graphite and weighs around 350 g.

THE PADEL BALLS

The balls are made of the same material as tennis only softer.
The padel courts are smaller and the softer balls make it easier to play and bounce against the glass walls.
